"SHE IS MY NEW FAVOURITE ARTIST"
Breaking glass ceilings through the art of music.
2nd generation only child descendant, from the creator of vibes, Jamaica.
Growing up Misha Dawn was always the only black girl. Watching television she assumed herself and Mother were the only black people in the world as there was no 'dark skin' representation in the media...imagine that?
Misha Dawn wants to change that narrative and give “dark skin” black girls the representation they deserve in the media and representing anyone who feels they are 'invisible'.
A quote from Misha Dawn "I spent my life feeling invisible. No more. I will be unapologetically black and embrace my differences and tell my story of what life was like growing up trying to fit in where you're not wanted, the impacts, achievements and sit down cross legged moments not to be missed."
Misha Dawn isn't a stranger in the 'music business'. Misha Dawn has been creating and nurturing her craft for 10 unforgettable professional years.
Misha Dawn is the ultimate perfectionist and because of this, she will not stand for anything less, hence only releasing when she feels she is ready.
Misha Dawn has released her first single Smiling All the Time which is something she has been doing a lot more recently. Letting go of any inhibitions and putting yourself first. With some of her favourite lines, "head so clear i'm smelling vics" "gone are the days where black was an insult" "I worked so hard to be this care free`' it's clear Misha Dawn is expressing to the listeners the adaptation of life and navigation through determination, hard work and experimentation.

Misha Dawn has always been a performer. She started off with Ballet classes at 3 years old, to shy to enter the class, Misha sat in the changing room contemplating life, trying figuring out how she was going to combat her nerves.
Progressing onto being classically trained in Tap, Jazz and Modern, the seeds were already being sewn into what will turn out to be an 'Unforgettable' performer.
Misha Dawn prides herself for being able to overcome shyness and nerves, with determination to want to succeed in life without being held back from a lack of confidence. Her passion for dance didn't stop there, she then attended Street dance, Lyrical, Contemporary and Ballroom classes! This training has put Misha Dawn in a comfortable position to be able to hold her own on stage, with original flare.

Misha Dawn is a keen writer. With her first written song 'Gatwick' at the age of 7 years old, her mother made her dream happen of having it on a CD... a gold CD!
Misha Dawn's writing inspiration comes from many places. An idea often pops into her head and then either records the vocals on her phone or writes it down.
Inspiration can flow with the help of living in the countryside, there is something about piece and quite that get's those creative juices flowing. Misha Dawn has realised that writing from the heart is the key to a strong story and an emotional journey. In previous years she was nervous to let people in, since lock down she takes no prisoners and lets her fans no the real truth.
